Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society and MicroMatching
November 15, 2021
We are so honored to bring back Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society to benefit from this week’s MicroMatching opportunity at 52andChange.org. Through Sunday, we’ll be raising as many microdonations ($1, $2, $3… but never more than $10), as we can to support this incredible nonprofit that rescues neglected and abused horses, places them into foster homes, rehabilitates and retrains them, and finds them loving adopters. We will also match all donations that come in, up to $500, so when you give a little today, the impact will be doubled!
We chose Bluebonnet because their services are all-encompassing, guided by the most humane outcome. Sometimes people get horses without the knowledge or desire to care for them properly, but there are many other circumstances that can prevent some people from providing horses the care they need. Alongside rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected horses, Bluebonnet also created programs to help provide veterinary care, feed, and other essentials to horse owners who are suffering a temporary financial hardship so that they can keep their beloved companions. They provide low-cost gelding (neutering), and also pay for euthanasia for suffering horses whose owners cannot afford it.
There’s so much more here. Thank you to all of the folks at Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society for their spirit of compassion, caring for these magnificent animals in their greatest time of need and bringing families the joy of welcoming horses into their lives. It’s a win-win. They are our heroes.
As a community, we are growing. Together, we are each pitching in a little to support our wider communities, witnessing how nonprofits everywhere are rising to the challenges we face, and responding to them with the support of our collective dollars. We’re all in this together! Let’s rally around Bluebonnet this week, and their spirit of compassion, by giving a little and sharing a lot.
