Featuring Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC)

July 26, 2021

This week, help support the Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC) by chipping in $1-10 through Sunday! We are so proud to partner with EPIC and their important work advocating for the protection and restoration of northwest California’s forests (yep, that includes the ancient redwoods!). They need us, we need them, and we all need our forests. Spread the news!

What does EPIC do?

By engaging with legislators, agencies, and stakeholders, EPIC advocates to ensure the responsible management of forest resources within their ecologically crucial region. They’re particularly excited about transforming working timberlands into carbon reserves that can become part of the climate change solution instead of part of the problem. EPIC is one of the only organizations working on this solution within their region... and funding is tight!

Protecting Northern Californian forests is also about saving endangered species, providing clean drinking water to millions of people, caring for rivers and their astounding biodiversity, and so much more. For more than 40 years, EPIC has been advocating for these essential forests, in turn advocating for the health of all of us.

Go here to learn about EPIC’s important and wide-ranging work, give a few bucks of support, and connect with EPIC on social media. Every little bit helps! Join this microgiving campaign and let EPIC know we have their back.

News&stories

Latest news from 52andChange!

Together we’ve become volunteers in places we would have never expected, planted milkweed for butterflies, provided books to kids in need, helped save endangered turtles, helped turn excess food into nutrition, helped bring art to youth, educated one another about how we are connected to our delicate food systems, helped save abandoned horses and given old dogs new hope, watched foster youth shine in the spotlight of movie making, helped clean tires out of rivers… we could go on and on and on. It is an absolute joy to be a part of such an amazing network of humans making a difference.
