Featuring The Pablove Foundation
September 7, 2021
Are you ready to jumpstart your week with a big dose of inspiration and an opportunity to make a difference at 52andChange.org?
This week, contribute to The Pablove Foundation by joining others in giving a dollar or two (our system caps at $10... it’s microgiving!) at 52andChange.org. If you aren’t yet familiar with Pablove, hold on, and feel the hope...
The Pablove Foundation has a dual approach to their mission:
to improve the lives of children living with cancer, through the arts
to invest in underfunded, cutting-edge pediatric cancer research
How does the dual approach work?
The Pablove Shutterbugs healing arts program teaches kids with cancer the art of photography. The program provides immediate support and a necessary escape from the challenges of treatment, which can include feelings of sadness, isolation, and low self-esteem. Students learn from caring professionals who teach them to develop their creative voice. The program is offered in-person in seven cities across the country, as well as virtually in order to serve kids with cancer everywhere, even those in the hospital.
They also want a cure. Their Powered by Pablove research program provides $50,000 seed grants to young investigators to jump start their research. Since 2011, The Pablove Foundation has awarded 46 seed grants to 38 creative researchers at 33 different institutions around the world. That's a lot of brilliant minds working toward transforming the future of pediatric cancer care. They’ve invested $3.1 million in seed funding for daring pediatric cancer researchers who have leveraged this initial funding with an astounding 366% return on investment.
Their story is inspiring. Dive in, learn more, and connect with them here.
We have seven days to join our dollars together, feel the difference, and share with others. This is something everyone can get behind. Let’s do this... together!
Thanks for your support and huge thanks to all of the many staff members, volunteers, and others who make it possible for Pablove to continue their life-saving work. We are humbled by their astounding energy and effort.
