Tulsa Girls Art School and MicroMatching

This week we are proud to introduce Tulsa Girls Art School to our microgiving community! Tulsa Girls Art School is a no-cost after school program that provides transformative art instruction, mentorship, youth development, and positive peer support to female at-promise students in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the goal of fostering resilient, self-determined, and empowered young women.

We know that access to art programming can change lives, and we’re on a mission to raise and match as many $1-$10 donations as possible this week at 52andChange.org — to help support the Tulsa Girls Art School’s enormous efforts!

Why Tulsa Girls Art School?

• The no-cost 10-year art program begins in third grade, and inspiring instructors train the promising young artists in 15 art mediums!

• Students are provided with studio space, transportation, healthy meals and snacks, art supplies, and expert instruction.

• Tulsa Girls Art School impacts 65 female students (and their families) annually, with 95% of Tulsa Girls Art School students being Black and Latinx.

• Alongside curating artwork for two annual Art School events, money earned from art sales is deposited directly into students’ individual micro-savings accounts to be used for future educational expenses.
