Voices of Children and MicroMatching

I’m Alix, the Co-Founder of 52andChange. My ten-year-old daughter asked me if 52andChange could help with the devastation unfolding in Ukraine, and our team began looking into charities working with children on the frontlines. We found Voices of Children. Today, during the invasion of Ukraine, this organization is providing nonstop assistance to affected children and families from all over the country, providing emergency psychological assistance, and assisting in the evacuation process.

In an effort to help, for the next couple of weeks we are shifting our focus from U.S.-based nonprofits to Ukrainian charity Voices of Children. The 52andChange microgiving platform will tally small donations ($1- $10) as they come in from our community, and provide Voices of Children the total amount raised at the end of the campaign.

We are also matching all donations as they come in, dollar-for-dollar, until we reach $2500, so consider your gift doubled.

When we contacted Voices of Children to let them know about our campaign, their response included this message: “Thank you for thinking about us, this already means a lot and now it is important as ever to feel that we are not alone...”

We hope we can spread the news and raise a significant amount of money through a lot of people giving a little and sharing a lot. We also hope people who have the capacity to give larger amounts directly to Voices of Children do here, but for those who can’t give a lot, or want to participate in this small giving campaign where donations are matched, our platform caps at a $10 gift — but you can also choose to give just $1.*

At 52andChange it’s how we give together, not who can give the most. A lot of small donations can add up to make a big impact.
